Keep iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch in sync through your own iCloud account, and keep backup files you can restore anywhere.

Your entries live on your devices. With iCloud sync they also travel between them, through your own iCloud account. There’s no Timelogger account and no other server.

Turn on iCloud sync

  1. Make sure each device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account.
  2. In Timelogger Plus, open Settings and turn on iCloud Synchronization.
  3. Repeat on your other devices.

The first sync can take a little while if you have years of entries. After that, changes appear on your other devices shortly after you make them.

If something doesn’t sync

Settings has a troubleshooting screen that shows the sync status and lets you sync again. Most problems come from a device signed in to a different Apple Account, or from iCloud storage being full.

Back up your data

Backups are separate from sync and available to everyone:

  1. In Settings, tap Export Backup.
  2. Save the file to Files, iCloud Drive or anywhere else you like.

To restore, tap Import Backup and choose the file. Keep a backup before you change devices or reset one.

Tip: A monthly backup in a folder you control costs nothing and protects years of history.
